I was fortunate while in LA to have the opportunity to meet Michael Massenburg through our mutual friend Isabel Rojas-Williams and to work with him to create this awesome exhibit for the Sanguine Gallery. Please check out his work at sanguinegallery.com. ________________________________________ @sanguinethomas Our new exhibition “Michael Massenburg: Observer” features Massenburg’s painting, collage, and “Dream Boxes” accompanied by an essay on his public art and an audio interview. We were excited to discover Waredaca Brewing today. It was beautiful, sunny, warm/cold, and lots of other people out celebrating St Patty’s Day. We’ve been here four months and had no clue it was so close.
Happy St Patrick’s Day!
Making his mark!

#thomasaotd #rasskass #soulonice 1996 Rass Kass debut. A classic! The album's title is a reference to Black Panther member Eldridge Cleaver's 1968 book Soul On Ice.
This album brings me back to a chapter as an art student and a group I hung out with in DC. I was invited down to Chuck and Billies for an open mic by some Howard students and went a couple times. I also went to a house party of theirs around the same time and Asheru performed in the backyard. I also did an album cover for these guys, my friends, not Unspoken Heard. It was a collage of some drawings that I had. Not very good, but being super nice guys they used it anyway. I always thought it was cool that at this row house in DC during a keg party Asheru was just hanging out freestyling in the backyard. That’s hip hop to me! #thomasaotd #asheruandblueblack #theunspokenheard #48months
